The Goat (1921) 23 min
“Buster is inadvertently identified as the notorious outlaw Dead Shot Dan. He is pursued throughout the city by the local police chief, using disguises and quick-thinking to elude the lawman. He encounters Virginia, a young lady friend, and goes to her home to visit and hide out, only to discover that Virginia’s father is the police chief.” -imdb.com

such a day. i’m writing from the recently lifted prosthetic typing appendage to my poor invalid mac. my external hard drive is clicking away furiously as i lovingly transfer too many mp3 files, repair, disrepair, repair.
today, a day: in my ventures to capture a keyboard, i happened in on a charming p. adams sitney, magically whiling time away in his cubby. in a strange sad state, i overcame my fear of the man to ask my burning blanchot questions (see: every station hill blanchot release, a fat p.a.s. thank ye…). he regaled me with stories of intrigue & violence in the publishing world, reprimanded me for missing the class with susan howe, &eventually offered to read what one hopes will be a thesis on zines.
after a couple delightful hours hoppin from isou to hejinian to “his high school girlfriend” kathy acker, i was happy&eager to hop back in my saddle–i swapped the before me, popped on leadbelly, made another raid of the OUTRAGEOUSLY WONDERFUL el diablo tun tun (not a bad tun tune in sight…), up to &including the thick fluffy flurry chunks of white falling center stage.
things are looking up.
think i’ll start writing on writing the disaster.
